Carolina Sullivan challenges the Miami real estate market head on, using her keen eye for buying low as she guts outdated properties and renovates them into attractive modern homes ready to sell for top dollar. The native Colombian began her house-flipping career in 2008, and since then she and her trusted team of laborers have taken on much of the work -- from plumbing to floors and roofing -- instead of subcontracting it because "one bad deal is a big deal," she says.
