Ricky's boss won't give him a raise, so he quits. Lucy and the Mertzes decide that to convince the boss to hire Ricky back, they should pretend to be different patrons of the club who, once they discover Ricky isn't there anymore, would leave.

I Love Lucy

Ricky Asks for a Raise

Ricky is horrified to notice his hair-line is receding; Lucy tries a number of unorthodox treatments in order to convince Ricky that the products and treatments aren't worth the worry about his hair.

Ricky Thinks He's Going Bald

After taking so long to get dressed that they miss a dinner with his new boss, Ricky puts Lucy on a strict schedule. On a follow-up dinner with Ricky's boss and his wife, the women give the men a taste of what it's like to be on a schedule.

Lucy's Schedule

Ricky misleads Lucy into thinking he knows all the answers to a radio quiz show; she gets them booked onto the next broadcast. When Ricky reveals the truth, Lucy tries to sneak a peek at the questions in advance but things backfire on her scheme.

Lucy Gets Ricky on the Radio

Lucy thinks Ricky could use some added publicity in the society columns, so she poses as visiting royalty. She disguises herself as the Maharincess of Franistan who has traveled halfway around the world to see her singing idol, Ricky Ricardo.

Publicity Agent

Lucy gets a job in a TV commercial by telling the chosen actress that another girl's been hired; at the studio, Lucy rehearses tasting spoonfuls of the product, "Vitameatavegamin," but the contents of the product contain far too much alcohol.

Lucy Does a TV Commercial

Lucy and Ethel decide to make some extra money by buying a used, walk-in freezer. When they unwittingly buy 700 pounds of beef, they try to sell it to customers at the butcher shop. Lucy later finds herself locked in the freezer.

The Freezer

Lucy is jealous of one of Ricky's female Cuban friends, a woman named Renita. Lucy and Ethel dress as cleaning women to spy on Renita and Ricky at rehearsal. Lucy is appalled, and arranges for Fred to take Renita to the show by way of Philadelphia.

Kleptomaniac

Lucy finds a mistake on her marriage license and goes to City Hall to fix it. Fred has a friend at the license bureau, so Ricky has them jokingly revoke the license. Lucy insists that she and Ricky recreate their wedding exactly as it happened.

The Marriage License

Ricky and Fred can't believe how pampered their wives are. They think women have it easy in their day and age, and that Lucy and Ethel couldn't survive living at the turn of the century like their grandmothers.

Pioneer Women

When Ricky tells Lucy to quit gossiping, she acts out -- rather than tells -- some gossip to Ethel about Betty and her husband, Jack. The boys bet the girls to see who can prevent themselves from gossiping the longest.
