Luke and Clint take a big risk with two custom murals in a four-bedroom, three-bathroom midcentury modern ranch built in 1957; they mix vintage and modern and enlist the help of Luke's son, Elias, to create a penny floor in the master bathroom.

Clint and Luke transform a one-level triplex into a two-story, single-family home in Boise's popular North End; reclaimed materials help maintain the Craftsman style, while the open interior gives the living space a modern appeal.

Vaulted Aspirations

Luke Caldwell and Clint Robertson buy a 900-square-foot cottage that was built in 1905 and sits in a historic district, so tight restrictions on renovations prevent them from adding value by increasing the square footage.

Friends Luke and Clint take an unconventional approach to house flipping in their hometown of Boise, Idaho; designer Luke likes to reach for the stars, while rugged contractor Clint remains focused on the bottom line.
