Armando is devastated after a conversation with his father does not go as planned; Kenny and Armando's families arrive for the big day and meet for the first time, and Armando anxiously waits to see if his father will show up.

While talking with his daughters on video chat, Kenny realizes how deeply homesick he has become; he wants to be honest about his feelings, but he worries that Armando will take it badly; Kenny is upset when his only wedding request is denied.

It's time for Kenny and Armando to say goodbye to Armando's family; Armando's dad has made progress toward accepting their relationship, but he hasn't agreed to go to the wedding; Kenny is stunned when Armando admits he wants to expand their family.

Armando reveals to his mom that he and Kenny are going against her wishes and planning on a lavish wedding; hoping his father will agree to support him, Armando breaks the news of his engagement in an emotional conversation.

Kenny and Armando disagree over how large their wedding should be; as they work through the details, Armando also worries about how his dad will react when he learns about their engagement.

Kenny and Armando face several obstacles as they settle into life together, including differences in parenting style and a language barrier; the couple is devastated when they learn they will have to endure a legal battle to be able to get married.

Kenny is nervous to meet Armando's family for the first time, and Armando worries that his father may not be supportive of their relationship; they also prepare to tell Armando's daughter, Hannah, about their engagement.

Armando and Kenny are unsettled when someone makes hateful comments while they are out together in Mexico; as Kenny plans a romantic proposal, he worries whether Armando will be unwilling to publicly accept him.

Kenny prepares to leave home and reveals to his family that Armando is much younger than he led them to believe; Armando is excited to welcome Kenny to Mexico but hasn't told his parents that he has been in a relationship with a man for three years.
