When milquetoast milkman Burleigh Sullivan (Harold Lloyd) knocks out middleweight champion boxer Speed McFarland (William Gargan) by mistake, he attracts a tremendous amount of media attention. Always looking to exploit a new angle, seedy boxing promoter Gabby Sloan (Adolphe Menjou) convinces Sullivan to leave behind his comfortable career at Sunflower Dairy and become a professional boxer. Little does Sullivan know that Sloan is setting him up for a fall!
