Mail Order Bride

In late-19th-century Montana, Will Lane (Buddy Ebsen) is sent to look after unruly Lee (Keir Dullea), the son of a deceased pal. Lane hopes to find Lee a bride who'll tame him, so he selects a mail-order wife, Annie (Lois Nettleton). All goes according to plan, until carefree bachelor Lee makes a deal with Annie: he'll support her financially if she leaves him after the wedding. Annie agrees, but when Lee truly falls for his bride-to-be, he must choose between his lawless ways and settling down.
