After being promoted from a desk job, Detective Maria Quinn (Jaclyn Smith) has a lot to prove. A perfect opportunity comes when she's put on her first big case: a murder investigation. She's paired with a tough-talking, grizzled veteran of the streets, Detective Vincent Cusack (John Spencer).
