Gold Diggers of 1937

When investors Tom Hugo (Charles D. Brown) and Morty Wethered (Osgood Perkins) tell opportunistic dancer Genevieve Larkin (Glenda Farrell) that they can't fund elderly stage producer J.J. Hobart's (Victor Moore) production, she suggests they get an insurance policy on J.J.'s life. Insurance salesman "Rossi" Peck (Dick Powell) writes the policy, and as Tom and Morty try to hasten J.J.'s death so that they can collect, Rossi and Genevieve, who's had a change of heart, try to keep him alive.
