HISTORY VAULT

What drives someone to gamble with their own life? From a French tailor who leaps off the Eiffel Tower to a man struck by lightning more times than should be humanly possible, these perilous wagers with death are as shocking as they are unbelievable.

The UnBelievable With Dan Aykroyd

Most Shocking Dances With Death

From a doctor who swallowed Yellow Fever vomit to prove a theory, to another who stitched together a two-headed dog, history's boldest experiments reveal just how far some minds will go; buckle in for a flying lawn chair ride, hear sound played through a dead man's ear, and witness a billionaire's bloody hunt for immortality; these are the maddest minds-and their most unbelievable experiments.

Maddest Minds

Some of Earth's most remarkable creatures push the limits of belief from a headless chicken who toured the nation, to a goat who tipped the scales of war, to dolphins drafted into Cold War espionage; proof that the strangest legends sometimes walk, swim, or fly among us.

Most Astonishing Creatures

UnexplJoin top investigators as they seek to uncover the truth behind some of the world’s greatest mysteries and cover-ups

UnXplained Zone

History - fascinating and exclusive programs on subjects ranging from American and world history to explorations of major events in politics, entertainment and social history.

History

Uncover the wild beginnings behind ordinary objects, legendary figures, and even the sayings we use every day; why did Abraham Lincoln once step into the wrestling ring? How do million-dollar birds procreate? What's the story behind a dog that ignited an international conflict? These are the strangest origin tales you've never heard-and won't believe!

Odd Origins

How did a pet pig spring into action to save its owner's life? Which mysterious spirits became the unlikely heroes that turned the tide for a doomed flight? And what shocking move did a carjacker make to rescue a baby trapped in a scorching car? These are the wild, unexpected stories of heroes you'd never see coming.

Unlikely Heroes

When the sun sets, strange things come alive; imagine a full-scale war waged against thousands of invading frogs, an artist who only paints while sleepwalking, and battlefield wounds that literally glow in the dark; these bizarre and unbelievable moments all have one thing in common they happen only when darkness falls.

When Darkness Falls

From a piece of the International Space Station crashing into a Florida home, to the first chimpanzee blasted into space, to a mind-bending time slip experienced by two women in Versailles, this episode dives into the unbelievable stories that challenge what we think we know about our place in the universe.

Out of this World

A drilling accident tears open the Earth and unleashes a fire pit known as the "Gates of Hell"; a routine flight turns harrowing when the pilot gets sucked out of the cockpit midair; a ship mishap sinks 4,000 luxury cars into the Atlantic.

Unimaginable Disasters

From the kitchen to the battlefield, some machines are just too strange to believe; like an appliance that runs on pup power; or a mousetrap so deadly, you need a permit to own one; how about a submarine car straight out of a Bond movie? Whether brilliant or baffling, these devices push the limits of what you thought possible.

Strange Machines

History is full of miracle cures, far-fetched products, and astonishing feats, but not all of them are legitimate; a miracle snake oil that cures all? A piece of the Brooklyn Bridge for sale? A marathon-winner who crosses the finish line without hardly breaking a sweat? These are the stories of some of history's most spectacular cons, each deception more unbelievable than the last.

Spectacular Cons

Weapons rank among humanity's most powerful-and wildest-inventions; some unleash mass destruction, while others are downright bizarre; from launching corpses with trebuchets, to turning animals into killing machines, and missiles guided by pigeons, these are the stories behind history's most outrageous weapons.

Wildest Weapons

The world is full of strange and mind-bending places, but some take the cake; explore an island ruled by deadly predators, a Florida town obsessed with the wildest circus performers, or a mysterious paranormal hotspot that's a magnet for UFOs, strange sightings, and baffling disappearances; these are the weirdest corners of the planet you have to see to believe.

History HD reveals the power and passion of history as an inviting place where people experience history personally and connect their own lives to the great lives and events of the past.

History HD

A brush with death is terrifying enough-but these stories take survival to the extreme; like fending off a black bear while dangling off a cliff; drifting through shark-infested waters with nothing but a pair of rubber boots to stay afloat; just when you think skydiving is the real danger-try crash-landing into a nest of thousands of angry fire ants.
