What is NHL® CENTER ICE®?

NHL CENTER ICE gives you up to 40 out-of-market games a week.  You’ll get access to additional networks, tools and upgrades to ensure you can watch as many NHL games as possible. During the NHL season, the NHL Network™ is included in your NHL CENTER ICE subscription.

Note: NHL CENTER ICE is only available to DIRECTV satellite customers. DIRECTV HD receiver (model H23 and later), HD TV equipment and a qualifying signature satellite programming package are required.

How to order NHL CENTER ICE from DIRECTV

    • Sign-in to your account and go to My TV Package.
    • Locate NHL CENTER ICE, select Add, and follow the prompts.

    How to watch NHL CENTER ICE on DIRECTV

    • NHL CENTER ICE games are broadcast on ch. 770-793.
    • NHL CENTER ICE Game Mix Channel (ch.770-1) where you can watch 8 games on one screen.

    NHL Network™

    • The NHL Network (ch. 215) delivers live games, daily highlight shows and up-to-the-minute news from around the league 24/7.
    • During the NHL season, the NHL Network is included in your subscription to NHL CENTER ICE.
    • In the off-season, you’ll need to subscribe to a package that includes the NHL Network.

    Watch the NHL in HD

    • Most games on NHL CENTER ICE are available in HD. The actual number of games varies due to blackout restrictions and whether they are available to DIRECTV in HD.
    • HD games are represented by a -1 in the program guide. For example, if the Ducks vs. Bruins game is broadcast in SD on ch. 770, you can see it in HD (if available) on ch. 770-1.

    Dual Feeds

    • If you want to catch both sides of the game, check out Dual Feeds. When available, this feature lets you choose between the home and away broadcasts of the same game.
    • For example, if the Ducks are playing the Bruins, you can see the Ducks broadcast on one channel and the Bruins broadcast on another channel.
