Apple TV through DIRECTV
Learn how to get and sign-in to an Apple TV subscription through DIRECTV, plus additional support and channel information.
Apple TV is a streaming subscription available through DIRECTV, offering Apple Originals, movies, Major League Soccer, Formula 1(R) and MLB Friday Night Baseball with double headers throughout the regular season.
Not available to customers who stream DIRECTV and pay by Amazon, by Roku or Google.
Order Apple TV through DIRECTV
- Sign-in to your account and go to My TV package.
- Locate Apple TV, select Add, and follow the prompts.
- After adding Apple TV to your account, you'll have to activate, or you can merge your existing Apple TV subscription.
- The monthly charge auto-renews through DIRECTV at the currently monthly rate, and you can cancel anytime.
- Apple TV requires a high-speed internet connected device to stream content.
Activate your Apple TV Subscription
- After adding Apple TV to your account, you can pick the way that works best for you.
- Activate immediately by locating Apple TV on the My TV package page, click Activate and follow the instructions.
- You'll also receive an activation email with a link that will guide you to activate your Apple TV subscription by following simple instructions.
- The email address you use to establish Apple TV credentials does not have to match your DIRECTV User ID and password.
- After activation, you can download the Apple TV app on your TV or mobile device, sign-in with your new Apple TV credentials and start watching.
- Gemini customers can launch the app from channel 199 in their TV guide.
Sign in and watch Apple TV
- Download the Apple TV app through your DIRECTV TV interface or other compatible device.

- Sign-in using the credentials you created during the activation step with Apple TV.
- Navigate the Apple TV app
- You can also find Apple TV's sports content from MLB Friday Night Baseball, MLS and Formula 1 in your TV guide (available only during games/race broadcast).
- MLB Friday Night Baseball: channels 928-929
- MLS: channels 480-494
- Formula 1: channels 930-932
Remove Apple TV from your DIRECTV account
- Sign-in to your account and go to My TV package.
- Locate Apple TV, click Remove and follow the prompts.
Troubleshooting
- Make sure your device is connected to the internet.

- Check your device has the latest operating version.
- Check if your Apple TV app needs an update.
- If other apps or channels are working on your device, the issue may be isolated to Apple TV, refer to support.apple.com/tv for additional information and troubleshooting.
