The Gemini Voice remote with Google Assistant is compatible with the Gemini device. It will not work on other Genie receivers – and the Genie remote will not work with the Gemini device.

Talk to Google to control your TV using your voice.

1. Press and release the Google Assistant/MIC button on your remote.
2. When the blue light appears on the remote, say your request into the microphone.

Your Gemini Voice remote with Google Assistant responds to your voice. Talk to Google to:

• Jump right to your favorite show/movie just by saying the title
• Search by genre or mood by saying “search for funny shows”
• Get personalized recommendations by saying “what should I watch?”
• Get answers like weather, stock prices, and sports scores
• Control your compatible smart home devices using your voice

When setting up your Gemini device, you can easily sign into your Google Account for a personalized TV experience. Just follow the prompts during set up. You can do it later also.

Heads up: Your Google Account ID is different from your DIRECTV user ID. If you don’t have a Google Account, you can create one online now or while setting up your Gemini device.

1. Press the Google Assistant/MIC button on your remote and say something like, “what's on my shopping list?”
2. Select Activate Google Assistant on the TV screen.
3. Sign into your Google Account.
4. Read and accept the disclosures and data privacy info, then select Allow to activate Google Assistant.
