Use your mobile device as a remote control

 

DIRECTV subscribers with receiver models HR20 and above can use a smartphone or tablet as a remote control. Your mobile device and receiver(s) need to be connected to the same Wi-Fi network. Before you get started:

• Download the DIRECTV App to your device

How to use it:

1. Open the DIRECTV App.
2. Select the remote-control icon next to Settings.
   • This does not control your television
3. Select a receiver from the drop-down list.
   • If receivers are grayed out, they may not be connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your mobile device.
4. Turn on the device by tapping the power button.
