Learn how to record your favorite teams and stay on top of live game scores.
With DIRECTV you don't have to form a search party to find your team. DIRECTV makes it easy to locate your team, set recordings and see live scores whether you're using a DIRECTV device or the DIRECTV app.
How do I record my sport team’s games with DIRECTV?
- Find your team or specific game by using search or in Sports Central.
- To search a team, simply enter their name in the main search option, or access your team in the Sports Central menu.
- Click on the game.
- Selection options to record, which include recording a game or recording a team, for which all games for your team will be set to record.
- Recording only available on DIRECTV channels, not available on third party subscriptions (e.g. Apple TV etc.).
What if my game goes into overtime?
- No need to worry when your team’s games go overtime or extra innings. DIRECTV will auto-extend the recordings of your sports event, so you don’t miss any action if the game goes overtime.
- Auto-extend is limited to the following supported leagues: NFL, MLB, NHL, NBA leagues, NCAA Football and Basketball (Division I), Soccer (UEFA, FIFA), PGA Tour Golf, English Premier League and German Bundesliga.
- Auto-extend is also contingent upon third-party recording service availability and varies by packages, channel subscriptions & billing region. Blackout restrictions apply. Data connection is required.
How do I view live scores?
- DIRECTV presents game tiles with live scores.
- Your team’s game tiles are easy to find with team vs team posters.
- After the game is final, team matchup pages display live scores up to 1 hour.
- You can turn off live scores at any time in settings.
How can I turn off the live score feature?
Avoid the spoiler by following these steps to turn off the live score feature:
- Got to Settings and select Preferences.
- Toggle on/off the Show Game Scores slide for your preference.
