Learn how your location and billing ZIP Code affect local channels you can watch with DIRECTV.
How location impacts local channel availability
- Local channel availability is based on your billing ZIP Code and market area the base package you've selected, or if you've opted out of locals.
- Good to know: not all Genre Packs come with local channels, Satellite customers can opt out of locals, MyFree DIRECTV does not include local channels.
- If you receive your DIRECTV through your community (such as your building manager, HOA or via your rent) or as a courtesy service (such as a free account for demonstration), your local channel availability is based on the building’s service address.
