What’s a Signature Package?

DIRECTV Signature Packages offer from 90 to 185+ channels spanning a wide variety of sports, news, entertainment, and local channels that you can watch on your TV or with the DIRECTV App. Prices vary based on the amount of content available in each Signature Package. You can only have one Signature Package—but it’s easy to switch to another one at any time.

Stream customers (no satellite)

If you upgrade:

  • You can watch and enjoy your new package right away.
  • You will be charged a partial amount today for the days left in your current billing cycle.

If you downgrade:

  • You keep your current package until your billing cycle ends.
  • Your new package starts at the beginning of the next billing cycle.
  • You will be charged for the new package at that time.

Satellite Customers

If you upgrade:

  • You can watch and enjoy your new package right away.
  • A partial charge for the days left on your current bill cycle will appear on your next bill.

If you downgrade:

  • You can watch and enjoy your new package right away.
  • A partial credit for the days left in your current billing cycle will appear on your next bill.  

Some Signature Packages are no longer offered or have special promotional pricing. If you switch away from one of these packages, you won’t be able to switch back.

To switch your Signature Package

  • Sign into your account and go to TV Package.
  • Select a Signature Package, then follow the prompts to complete your purchase.

Customers with a satellite dish can check out available Signature Packages. You can also learn more about managing your local TV channels, such as ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox, PBS and more.

Customers without a satellite dish can choose either a Signature Package or one or more Genre Packs. If you have or are interested in Genre Packs, please see All about DIRECTV Genre Packs.

If you receive DIRECTV through your community (such as your building manager, HOA or via your rent), you can view your subscription package anytime by logging into your DIRECTV online account. However, you can’t downgrade your subscription below the community-provided programming. You can manage your subscription by contacting us at 877.557.1545.

If you receive DIRECTV as a courtesy service (such as a free account for demonstration), you can manage your account online or by contacting us at 888.903.1445.
