Want to update your payment information with a new card number, revised expiration date, or corrected address? Or did you receive notice that your bill couldn't be processed with your current payment info? Here's how to update it.

  1. Go to Account overview > Billing & Payments.
  2. Select Payment methods.
  3. Update your payment method and billing address.
  4. Do one of the following:
    • Enter a new debit or credit card (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover).
    • Add PayPal as your payment method.
  5. Enter your billing address associated with your payment method; this is used as your DIRECTV service address.
  6. Agree to the autopay and DIRECTV TECH PROTECT (if applicable) terms and conditions and select Save.

Note: You can't change your bill period date. Paying with a bank account (ACH) is currently not allowed for customers streaming over the internet. To ensure successful payment processing, update your billing address with your bank or card issuer before making changes in DIRECTV.

Important Note: DIRECTV has introduced an extra step to enhance your security when you log into your directv.com account. In addition to your username and password, you're asked to enter a one-time code sent to your email or phone number on file. After entering the code, simply follow the on-screen prompts to complete the process and securely access your account.
