Your DIRECTV® service includes Descriptive Video Service (DVS) when it’s available. You can activate DVS using the onscreen menu.<br><br>Want a list of available programs? <a href="https://www.fcc.gov/audio-description" target="_blank">View a schedule of programs offering video descriptions</a><br> 
<h3>Temporarily change video descriptions on a channel</h3>
<ol><li>Press <strong>INFO </strong>on your remote.</li><li>Press the &quot;<strong>up arrow</strong>&quot; for three seconds. If audio description is available, it will now be enabled.</li></ol>
<strong>Heads up:</strong> The language will go back to English when you change the channel.<br> 
<h3>Change video descriptions on all channels</h3>
<ol><li>Press <strong>MENU </strong>on your remote.</li><li>Press the down arrow until you get to Settings and then press <strong>SELECT</strong>.</li><li>Press the right arrow for <strong>Audio </strong>options.</li><li>Press <strong>Language</strong>, then choose your preferred language and press <strong>SELECT</strong>.</li><li>Press <strong>EXIT</strong>.</li></ol>

To fix, change the channel.<br><br><strong>Roku: </strong>You’ll always see English listed as the main audio language option and Spanish as the alternate. This happens regardless of your actual languages.<br><br><strong>Safari web browser: </strong>Selecting <strong>Alternate to access DVS Audio</strong> automatically turns on closed captioning. This happens even when closed captioning is checked off.</div>
