Enroll in autopay

DIRECTV Satellite customers can use a checking account or credit/debit card to automatically pay their bill each month. DIRECTV STREAM customers are automatically enrolled in autopay with a credit/debit card or PayPal.

Satellite subscribers can set up automatic payments by following the below instructions.

  1. On your Account Overview page, select Enroll next to the autopay status or select Payment Settings.
  2. Select Payment Settings or Manage Account (Depending on your account profile).
  3. Select Sign up under Autopay Settings.
  4. Choose a payment method: Checking account or Credit/debit card.
  5. Complete the required info and select Enroll.
  6. To update the autopay payment method, select Change. (This option is not available for all account types.)

Heads up: It can take up to a bill period for automatic payments to start. Pay as usual until you see autopay is scheduled followed by a date in one of these places:

    • Paper bill: Look in the upper-right corner of the first page.
    • Online: Go to Billing & Payments > Payment Settings and look for Active under Autopay Settings.

If your account is past due, you cannot enroll in automatic payments. Please make a full payment as soon as possible to enroll.

Internet connection (No satellite)

Autopay is automatically enabled for customers streaming over the internet. Your card on file will be charged each month for hassle-free payments. You cannot cancel autopay; however, you can update your autopay payment method. To update your autopay payment method, go to your Account Overview page and select Payment Methods.
