Set up your Local Channel Connector (LCC)

To set up your LCC:

1. Connect the antenna splitter to the antenna power adapter using the mini-USB cable from your kit and plug it in to an outlet. This boosts the antenna’s reach.
2. Connect the antenna’s coax cable to the LCC.
3. Plug the LCC’s USB cable into your receiver’s USB port.
4. Insert the LCC power adapter into the LCC.
5. Plug the power adapter into an outlet. Ensure that it’s not controlled by a wall switch.
   • The LED light on the USB plug should come on.
   • The New Over-the-Air Tuner Found message should display on your TV screen.
6. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete setup.

Once connected, your LCC will pick up the local channels available in your location. You can:

• Tune in to your local channels to watch their programming.
• Watch or record up to 2 live local channels at the same time.

Want to set up later? No problem! On your remote, press Menu > Settings > Sat & Antenna.

Good to know: The antenna is yours to keep. On Demand is not available when using the antenna. Local channels via the antenna are not available in the DIRECTV App.

Troubleshoot common LCC issues

Keep in mind that actual over-the-air signal strength may vary by location and is based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to building construction, neighboring buildings and trees, topography, weather and specific reception hardware.

If installation gets stuck or you have missing channels, restart your receiver and perform the setup again. Using your remote:

1. Press Menu and then select Settings.
2. Scroll to Sat & Antenna and press OK.
3. Select Over-the-air Antenna Setup and then Start Setup.

To uninstall your LCC:

1. Press Menu and select Settings then Sat & Antenna.
2. In the Satellite Dish & Antenna Setup menu, choose Over-the-Air Antenna Setup and then Reset Settings.
3. Follow the on-screen prompts.
4. When the reset completes, unplug the LCC. You’ll no longer see Over-the-Air channels or the Sat & Antenna option.
