History Vault through DIRECTV offers thousands of History's most fascinating documentaries and series exploring the events and people that shaped our world.  

DIRECTV offers History Vault as a standalone add-on

  • History Vault is available as an add-on for Satellite and streaming customers, with some exceptions.
    • Customers who stream DIRECTV on Signature packages and who pay by Roku cannot add History Vault through DIRECTV.
  • History Vault through DIRECTV requires an internet connected device, including customers with Satellite receivers. 
  • History Vault can be streamed on a Gemini, an internet connected HD-DVR, via the DIRECTV app on a compatible device or directv.com.
  • History Vault through DIRECTV does not provide access to the History Channel, History En Espanol or History Vault website or app.

If you sign-up for History Vault through DIRECTV, it won't automatically replace any existing History Vault subscription you might have. To avoid additional charges, you'll need to cancel your existing History Vault subscription.

 

Order History Vault through DIRECTV

  • Sign-in to your account and go to My TV Package
  • Locate History Vault, select Add, and follow the prompts.
  • The monthly charge auto-renews through DIRECTV at the current monthly rate, and you can cancel anytime.

Ways to watch History Vault through DIRECTV

  • You don't need a separate History Vault account or additional sign-in to access programming.
  • Customers with Satellite receivers, you'll find History Vault on Channel 1930 in your guide (internet connected HD-DVR required).
  • Streaming customers without a Satellite dish, you'll find History Vault on your Gemini or compatible device under the On Demand menu, select Networks, locate and select History Vault.
  • All customers, including Satellite, with a History Vault subscription can access programming on the DIRECTV app or on directv.com under the On Demand menu, select Networks, locate and select History Vault.

Heads up: Not all On Demand content can be played immediately. It's subject to network availability.
