How to download and sign in to the DIRECTV App:
- Register and connect your device to the internet.
- Search DIRECTV in the Amazon app store.
- Select Get to install.
- Select Open to launch.

Heads Up: When you set up your DIRECTV device at home, that location becomes the residential internet network associated with your device. This is called your home Wi-Fi Network. Accessing the DIRECTV App on your Amazon Fire devices will also be limited to your home Wi-Fi network. You can change your Home Wi-Fi network up to 4 times within a 12-month period by relocating your DIRECTV device.
If you are having trouble:
- Make sure you are connected to your home network.
- Internet download speed can affect your viewing experience. We suggest these internet download speeds: 8Mbps per stream in-home, or 2.5 to 7.5Mbps mobile on-the-go. Test your internet speeds.
- Check if your device has the latest operating system. Your Fire TV should update automatically. If you want to make sure, Go to Settings, then Appstore. You should see On under Automatic Updates. To check for available updates: Settings > Select My Fire TV > Select About, then Check for System Updates.
- Check if the DIRECTV App needs an update. To check - Confirm App is latest version
- Storage issue? Clear DIRECTV App cache and data and Clear App Data on Fire TV
