Watch DIRECTV STREAM using Chromecast

Use Chromecast from a mobile device

Make sure you have:

  1. Connect your TV and mobile device to the same home Wi-Fi network.
  2. Open the DIRECTV app on your mobile device.
  3. Select the show you want to watch.
  4. Tap the home screen and then the Cast icon.
  5. Choose the TV or device you want to cast to.


iOS 14+ users please note: You must set your privacy settings correctly to watch DIRECTV using Chromecast. Here’s how your permissions should be set:


Settings > Privacy & Security
Location Services > DIRECTV permission with a minimum set to:
“While Using the App” > Checked
“Precise Location” > OFF
Local Network: DIRECTV > ON
Bluetooth: DIRECTV > ON

Important: Accessing the DIRECTV app with Chromecast will also be limited to your home Wi-Fi network. You can change your home Wi-Fi network up to 4 times within a 12-month period by relocating your Gemini (DIRECTV) device.

  1. Connect your computer and TV to the same home Wi-Fi network.
  2. Go to DIRECTV STREAM in your Chrome® browser and sign in.
  3. Select Tools (the 3 vertical dots) at the top-right corner of the browser.
  4. From the dropdown menu, select Cast.
  5. Choose the TV or device you want to cast to.
