Manage your autopay settings
DIRECTV makes it simple to manage your autopay settings. You cannot cancel a payment in progress but depending on your account, you may be able to change the autopay payment method, autopay date, or cancel the autopay enrollment.
Satellite dish
To change your autopay date:
- On the Billing & Payments page, select the Payment Settings tab.
- Go to the Autopay Settings section and do one of the following:
- To update the autopay payment method, select Change, make the required changes, and select Update.
- To update the autopay date, select Change, make the required changes, and select Update. Note: The option to change your autopay date may not be available for all accounts.
- To cancel autopay enrollment, select Cancel Autopay.
Keep in mind: Remember to make a payment by the due date to avoid a late fee.
Internet connection (No satellite)
Autopay and paperless settings are automatically enabled for customers streaming over the internet. Your card on file will be charged each month for hassle-free payments. You cannot cancel autopay or paperless billing. However, you can update your autopay payment method and paperless billing contact email.
Update your payment method and billing address
- On the Billing & Payments page, select Payment Methods.
- Do one of the following:
- Enter a new debit or credit card (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover). Or
- Add PayPal as your payment method.
- Enter a new billing address.
- Agree to the autopay and DIRECTV TECH PROTECT (if applicable) terms and conditions and select Save.
Note: To ensure successful payment processing, update your billing address with your bank or card issuer before making changes in DIRECTV.
