DIRECTV Bill Separation from AT&T
Learn about DIRECTV & AT&T billing changes.
If you receive a single bill for both DIRECTV and AT&T, you’ll soon start receiving separate bills for each service. The separation will affect how you receive bills, but your DIRECTV services will stay the same.
What's changing with my DIRECTV and AT&T bill, and what should I expect?
If you currently receive one combined bill for DIRECTV and AT&T, you'll begin receiving two separate bills - one from DIRECTV and one from AT&T. Each company will manage and send its own bill forward.
Here's what to expect:
- You'll receive two bills instead of one.
- The bills are not duplicates and must be paid separately.
- Your total DIRECTV cost will not change as a result of this bill separation, but charges will be split across the two bills.
- Your DIRECTV services, discounts, credits, and service terms will not change as a result of this bill separation.
- It may take up to one month from the separation date on your notice to begin receiving separate bills.
- Your first separate bill may arrive before your final combined bill; these bills apply to different time periods and are not overcharges.
- Each bill will clearly show the applicable payment due date.
What do I need to do?
- Manage and pay your DIRECTV bill separately by signing-in or creating an online account with directv.com.

Frequently Asked Questions
How long will the separation process take?
- After the bill separate date listed in your notice, it may take up to one month for you to begin receiving separate bills from DIRECTV and AT&T.
- Your notice includes instructions to help you sign-in or establish an online account on directv.com to manage your video billing.
Who do I call for service issues?
- Please contact the company that provides the service.
- DIRECTV will support DIRECTV services (TV).
- AT&T will support AT&T services (AT&T Wireless, Internet, Phone).
Why did my account change?
- Your services are still active. The change is to the billing, as DIRECTV and AT&T will manage these separately. Any existing discounts or credits you receive for DIRECTV and AT&T products and services will remain the same.
Why did I get a notification from AT&T, I don't have a combined billing with DIRECTV and AT&T?
- If you do not have combined billing, no action is needed on your part, and you can disregard the message.
Why is my DIRECTV bill in a different language than my previous combined bill?
- Now your DIRECTV bill language is based on your DIRECTV package. Currently, DIRECTV billing does not support the same language options that were available on your combined bill. We understand how important it is to receive your bill in your selected language. This change does not affect your DIRECTV service, programming, or charges and if you need help reviewing your bill or have questions, customer care is available to assist you in Spanish if needed.
