Make a payment arrangement
Can’t pay by the due date or missed a payment? Some DIRECTV satellite customers may be eligible to schedule a payment arrangement, or a promise to pay to avoid service disruption.

If you've missed a payment or know you won’t be able to pay by the due date, you may be eligible for a payment arrangement to help avoid service interruption. DIRECTV offers the following payment arrangement options:
Schedule a payment after the due date (Future Payment or Payment Arrangement)
Most DIRECTV Satellite customers are eligible to schedule a payment after their due date on directv.com, which may help delay service interruption and pause collection activity.
- Go to Billing & Payments
- Enter the desired amount for your payment. Some account types may require the full amount due.
- Select the calendar icon to enter the payment date. Your eligible payment arrangements dates are automatically presented.
- Select a previously saved payment method or make a one-time payment using an unsaved payment method.
- Click Pay Bill to complete.
- You'll see confirmation of your scheduled payment amount and date.
Promise to Pay or Service Interruption Extension
If you're overdue, you may have the option to inform us of a payment you plan to make in the future rather than scheduling an actual payment.
- Both a Promise to Pay and Service Interruption Extension allow you to commit to making a payment on specified future date.
- You can let us know the amount and date you plan to pay.
- Late fees may still apply to your account
Note: These options are only available when your account is past due. Available options depend on the account's status and are not available for all accounts.
- Go to Billing & Payments
- By the Amount section, click the Can’t pay now? Pay later link. Note: If you don't see Can’t pay now? Pay later; you are not eligible for a Promise to Pay or Service Interruption Extension.
- If you see the Promise to Pay window, enter your expected payment date, payment amount, and payment method.
- Select Submit.
- If the Request a Service Interruption Extension window displays, you’re eligible for a service extension.
- Select your expected payment date and Submit.
Note: This is a one-time service interruption extension of up to five days. Doing so will temporarily delay the service interruption and pause collection calls. This may take approximately 24-hours to take effect.
Potential fees
- Late fees apply if you pay your bill after the due date.
- We charge a convenience fee if you call or chat with us to make or schedule a payment arrangement.
- You'll owe a reconnection fee if you don’t pay by the date you agreed to, and your service is suspended.
View or Cancel a Payment Arrangement
- You can view or cancel a schedule payment or payment arrangement any time before the processing date by visiting your Account Overview on directv.com.
- Click View Scheduled Payments in the notification banner.
- If the scheduled payment is eligible to be cancelled (if it's before the processing date) you'll see a cancel option.
- Note: Editing, changing the date, of scheduled payments or payment arrangements is not available online. Some account types can simply delete the current payment arrangement and establish a new one.
Internet connection (No satellite)
Autopay is automatically enabled for customers streaming over the internet, so payment arrangement options and promise to pay options are not available.
- To avoid service interruption please make sure your payment method on file is valid before your payment date.
