Get help with location service errors

Getting error message 10022, 10023, or 10024? Learn how to fix it so you can watch local channels with DIRECTV STREAM.

Seeing these error messages on your screen? Turn on your location services to watch the local channels included in your DIRECTV STREAM package.
  • 10022-001 or 10022-002
  • 10023-001 or 10023-002
  • 10024-001 or 10024-002

Turn on location services on your DIRECTV STREAM device
Using your DIRECTV STREAM remote:
  1. Press the Home button.
  2. Scroll to the gear icon and press OK to open your settings.
  3. Select System and then General.
  4. Check your Location Status. If it’s off, select OK to turn it on.
  5. Press the down arrow to review the Location Usage Summary.
  6. Check to see if DIRECTV STREAM displays. If it doesn't, restart your DIRECTV STREAM device by pressing and releasing the red button on the side.
  7. Repeat steps 1 through 6 to make sure DIRECTV STREAM shows under Location Usage Summary.
  8. Press Exit to return to live TV.

Turning on location services for a wireless device
  1. Go to Settings and select Privacy.
  2. Turn on Location Services so your location can be accessed while using the app.
  3. Close your settings and restart the DIRECTV app
