Fix streaming issues for DIRECTV app on Google TV™ and Android TV™ OS devices

Check your network connection
 

1. In the left menu of the device, scroll up or down to highlight the Settings menu and select the center touchpad button.
2. Scroll left or right to highlight the System menu and select the center touchpad button.
3. Scroll up or down, highlighting the Network menu and select the center touchpad button.

If you continue to experience internet connectivity errors refer to your Internet Service Provider (ISP) for additional support.

Clear DIRECTV app cache and data

1. Select Settings, then Apps, and then Manage Installed Apps.
2. Choose the DIRECTV app.
3. Select Clear cache and Clear data from the window that appears.

Installation

1. In the top left of the menu on the home screen, scroll to and select the Search section.
2. Enter “DIRECTV” using the center “directional” touchpad.
3. The DIRECTV app will appear. Click Install.
4. The DIRECTV app will download and install.
5. To launch the app, select Open.

Remove and Re-install app from Device

1. Select Profile (circle in upper right corner)
2. Select Settings >>Apps>>See All Apps>> DIRECTV app >>Uninstall.
3. Re-install the app as per instructions above under “Installation”.

Force Close the App

1. In the top menu, scroll to and select Settings.
2. Scroll to Apps.
3. Select DIRECTV app.
4. Scroll up or down, highlighting and selecting the App > Force Stop > Select.
