Restart DIRECTV shows already in progress

Did you miss the beginning of that show you have been waiting for? With the DIRECTV Restart feature, you can rewind shows that have already started.

Requirements for Restart feature

The Restart feature is a great way to catch a show you missed part of. In order to use this feature, you need the following:
  •  Receiver models HR24 and above.
  •  Your receiver must be connected to the Internet.

Rewind shows to the beginning

If you turn on a program that has already started, you can use the Restart feature to go back to the beginning with just one click. The Restart feature becomes available two minutes into the program. Note: Restarted shows can't be fast-forwarded or recorded.

To rewind a program, do the following:
  1. Press GUIDE on your remote control.
  2. Select any show with a curved arrow.
  3. You'll see a prompt telling you to press the REWIND button to start the show at the beginning. Press it, and enjoy!
