What is the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and does it apply to me?
The CCPA tells companies like DIRECTV how to handle the personal information of California residents. Starting January 1, 2023, the CCPA will also apply to personal information collected by a business from current and former employees and independent contractors and from job applicants. If you are not a California resident, the CCPA does not apply to you.
What actions can I take when I submit a CCPA request?
As a California resident you can:
Ask to view the information we have about you.
Ask us to delete information that’s linked to you.
Ask us to correct the information we have about you.
Tell us not to sell or share information that is linked to you.
Ask us to limit the use of your sensitive data.
Can anyone make a CCPA request?
No. Only California residents may make a CCPA request.
Please note that all current DIRECTV employees, including California employees, can access available employment information through the DIRECTV Employee Portal without submitting a CCPA request.
