What is the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and does it apply to me?
The CCPA tells companies like DIRECTV how to handle the personal information of California residents. Starting January 1, 2023, the CCPA will also apply to personal information collected by a business from current and former employees and independent contractors and from job applicants. If you are not a California resident, the CCPA does not apply to you.

How long does it take to fulfill a CCPA request?
We’re required to give you a report within 45 days. If we need more time, we may take up to 90 days, but we’ll let you know if we do.
Will my CCPA request include information from AT&T if I previously worked for AT&T?
No. If you previously worked for AT&T, you must submit a separate CCPA request to AT&T.
What information does DIRECTV have about me?
In general, we have information on:
- Your employment, work, or application for employment with DIRECTV.
- Compliance with government regulations and requests.
- Training and development programs.
- Benefits and rewards.
- Salary and pay.
- Demographic information like your age, race, and gender.
- Information you’ve given to us, like your home address.
What happens when I make a CCPA request and ask for my Personal Information to be deleted?
We will process your request following California’s deletion rules, which allow us to keep data for things like:
