Positive Messages
The positive messages are few but important -- i.e., that victims of abuse should be open about it to stop the cycle of violence. Also, real friends don't just do whatever you want but tell you the truth when you're making poor decisions. Otherwise, there are lots of iffy decisions and behavior on display, including underage substance use/abuse, sexting, and sex.
Positive Role Models & Representations
Violence
A girl overhears loud, obscenity-laden fights going on in her home; two young women push and threaten one another. A young woman reports sexual and physical abuse; her stepfather then has to be restrained by a police officer. At least three young women get upset and sob in different scenes.
Sex
Lots of innuendo and references to sex. A few sex scenes, two between adults and another between two sets of couples who all but have sex in front of one another (one couple moves to an adjacent room at the last moment). One girl moves her head in what appears to be oral sex. Another young couple has sex in a laundry room; the girl forces the guy to wear a condom. A man has sex with his girlfriend in two different scenes. In the second scene, he pictures his younger student instead of his partner. Young women frequently wear revealing clothes (cleavage seen, short skirts/shorts), and one character pretends she's wearing one thing when she leaves the house but changes at school.
Language
Frequent strong language, usually said by teens: "f--k," "s--t," "whore," "bitch," "slut," "d--k," and even "c--t."

Ease of Play
Privacy
Underage drinking to excess (which leads to questionable sexual consent) -- straight from bottles, from flasks that kids sneak into homecoming, etc. Teens also smoke e-cigarettes and marijuana.
