The Tampa Bay Lightning were originally founded in 1992 and are part of the Atlantic Division. In 2021-22, the Lightning nearly became the first team in 40 years to win three straight Stanley Cup titles. But the Colorado Avalanche upended the Lightning in the Stanley Cup Final in six games. The last team to win three straight Stanley Cups was the New York Islanders, who won four consecutive titles from 1980 to 1983. The Tampa Bay Lightning play their home games at Amalie Arena in Tampa, Florida.
