The four-fight pay-per-view telecast will feature high-stakes matchups from undercard to main event, starting at 9 p.m. ET. with additional fights beforehand. Headline Event

Former unified heavyweight champion Andy “The Destroyer” Ruiz Jr. has been involved in a disciplined training regime to prepare for this fight. The now household name is quickly elevating back to the top of his division, to represent for his home country of Mexico.

“I’ve been training hard because we want to climb back up the ladder of the heavyweight division.” Ruiz says, “That’s why we picked a tough guy like Luis Ortiz. He has a hard style, but I’m positive and confident that I’m going to win this fight on September 4.”

 

 

Although top contender Luis “King Kong” Ortiz, who hails from Cuba, has ten years on his opponent, he’s not out of his league. He’s also staying on top of his fitness and his game face, as seen when he met the Los Angeles Rams in the gym.

 

 The 12-round WBC Heavyweight Title Eliminator will truly be a test of strength and tenacity with heavy competition.

 

The Undercards

The Labor Day Weekend event features upcoming and talented matchups starting even before the pay-per-view broadcast.  The co-main event, hard-hitting Isaac “Pitbull” Cruz will step in to take on fellow Mexican and veteran contender Eduardo Ramírez in a 12-round WBC Lightweight Title Eliminator in the co-main event. Prior, three-division champion Abner Mares will battle former title challenger Miguel Flores in a 10-round super featherweight attraction, and José Valenzuela will duel former world champion Jezreel Corrales in the 10-round lightweight pay-per-view opener.

Before the pay-per-view event, undefeated welterweight Joey Spencer battles Mexican contender Kevin Salgado in a 10-round fight highlighting PBC action live on FOX and FOX Deportes beginning at 8 p.m. ET.

Before that,  FOX broadcast, undefeated bantamweight contender Ra’eese Aleem will face Mike Plania in a 10-round attraction live on FS1 and FOX Deportes beginning at 7 p.m. ET.

The pay-per-view telecast will begin at 7 p.m. ET. and start with the undercard events. Prior to the PPV event, tune in to FOX, Fox Deportes and FS1 and make a night of it.
