Ottawa Senators 2023-2024 Schedule, Roster & How to Watch

As the Ottawa Senators continue to rebuild their team, how will they perform in this NHL season? The team has not made it to the postseason since the 2016-2017 season and ended last season in 6th of the 8 Atlantic division teams. Will they be able to perform better this season? Check out the 2023-2024 Ottawa Senators schedule, roster and more right here to find out for yourself.

And if you’re looking for the best NHL experience, look to DIRECTV. This post will also share with you how to watch the games live this season.

The Ottawa Senators were founded in 1992 and were named after the original Ottawa Senators franchise, which played in the NHL and various other leagues from 1883 to 1935. That team folded in 1935, a year after moving to St. Louis.

The new iteration of the Ottawa Senators is still looking for its first Stanley Cup title. The Sens, as they’re often called by their fans, came close in 2007, losing to the Anaheim Ducks in five games in the Stanley Cup Final.

While they have yet to win a Cup throughout the team’s 32 seasons, they have made it to the postseason 16 times, won four division titles and won the President’s Trophy in 2003. In recent years, though, the Senators performance has dwindled as the team works to rebuild itself.

The Senators play their home games at Canadian Tire Centre in Ottawa, Ontario, and are part of the Atlantic Division.

The Ottawa Senators are expected to perform better than they have in the last few years, and fans are excited to cheer them on. And while the team is in quite a competitive division, facing the Bruins, Tampa Bay, Panthers and more, there’s a chance they could finish higher in the Atlantic Division than previously. They also could potentially make the postseason as a wild card.

Two of the most impactful reasons that the Senators are expected to perform better this year are the addition of new players, and the further development of current players. Center Josh Norris is expected to get back on the ice after injury, and winger Tim Stützle has continued to improve his scoring, giving the Senators strong scoring players.

The signing of goalie Joonas Korpisalo will hopefully help the team back on defense as well. Below, you can take a look at the rest of the Ottawa Senators roster to see how the team is shaping up for the 2023-2024 season. The roster is organized by player position.
