Ok, ok, ok, Maybe I was wrong about Ryan Fitzpatrick!
Week 3 is upon us and we are starting to see some offenses really clicking and new fantasy studs emerging. Despite all the huge points put up this week, there could have been more. Kickers missed a whopping 19 KICKS (12 FGs, 7 PATs) this week! It cost two kickers their jobs. But at least Dan Bailey is back on the radar for fantasy teams (grab him!).
And away we go… this week’s picks:
Start these guys!
QB – Deshaun Watson vs New York Giants: Watson is the exact type of QB that gives the Giants’ defense fits. With Olivier Vernon and Eli Apple both out this week, I expect Watson to tear up the G-Men and he will put on a performance reminiscent of last year’s breakout.
RB – Jordan Howard vs Arizona: The Bears are starting to show that they are a team that can hang with anyone. They take on a depleted Cardinals team. “J-How”, as Kanye calls him, should be able to exploit the Cards defense in the middle of the field. He will not only get his yards on the ground but expect some catches out of the backfield.
WR – Tyreek Hill vs San Francisco: The Chiefs offense is a video game right now. Pat Mahomes is torching defenses left and right. But I’m going with Tyreek because Marquis Goodwin stated that he is faster than “Cheetah”. Hill will be out to prove a point. There will be a long TD for Hill this week.
TE – Kyle Rudolph vs Buffalo: Last week in Green Bay, Kirk Cousins got accustomed to yet another weapon in Minnesota. Rudolph is vastly underrated and a big-time threat. They are taking on the Bills who had a corner retire at halftime last week. They are a mess right now. Big time numbers from Rudolph and all the Vikings.

Beware of these guys!
Russell Wilson vs Dallas: Wilson had a really tough time vs the Bears dynamic front seven last week. And while the Cowboys aren’t as strong, they can still get to the QB. The Seahawks O-Line is in shambles. Wilson will make some plays, but I expect him to be on the run for most of the game.
Melvin Gordon vs Los Angeles Rams: There is no denying Gordon’s talent. He had a big week last week, and anyone who owns him is feeling great. But the other side is going to have Aaron Donald and Ndamukong Suh on the line. I just don’t see Gordon getting much this week. If he does, he’s going to be feeling it in the morning.
Jarvis Landry vs New York Jets: Juice is going to have some tough sledding against the Jets “New Jack City” secondary. Tyrod Taylor will have trouble getting the ball downfield to Landry. He could have a decent amount of catches, but I suspect lots of check downs. This is a stay away for me.
Jared Cook vs Miami: This is more of an indictment of the Raiders offense in general. Cook was a monster in week 1, and completely shut down in week 2. The Dolphins have played very well this season and the defense has stepped up big time. Don’t trust the Raiders until you see something change.
