Chicago Blackhawks vs. Detroit Red Wings
As part of the NHL’s “Original Six,” the Blackhawks and Detroit Red Wings have a long-standing rivalry dating back to the late 1920’s. This rivalry was particularly fierce before Detroit moved to the Eastern Conference in 2013. The teams faced each other numerous times in the playoffs, with intense, physical games defining their matchups. Despite the rivalry cooling down slightly due to fewer meetings, fans from both cities still eagerly anticipate the rare occasions when these two teams face off.
