Summer Forging Games Part 1

In this first-ever pay-to-play competition, smiths must fork over forge funds to use the necessary tools; after two smiths are left bankrupt, the remaining two return home to re-create the most expensive sword ever sold; the Boateng Saber.

The Boateng Saber

Four former champions return to the forge to compete; after the first round, three move onto a fit-and-finish round; the finalist is tasked with recreating a Cossack Shashka and must defeat one of the judges to be named Super Champion.

Four smiths are tasked with forging a blade that must fit perfectly into a puzzle piece cut out; after two rounds, the final two smiths return home to re-create the ancient samurai pole axe, the Japanese Ono.

Japanese Ono

Four smiths are put to the test when they must forge keys to unlock boxes of steel to make a knife; two competitors are picked to head back to their home forges to re-create the tomahawk and Bowie knife.

Tomahawk and Bowie

Four smiths forge handles using titanium; two competitors are able to produce weapons worthy of moving on to their home forges for another complex build: the Horseman's Tabar and Hidden Dagger.

Titanium Smackdown

Four smiths are tasked with forging signature blades from scrap metal shavings; smiths head home to re-create the Nimcha, a sword traditionally made from recycled blades.

After several intense rounds, two smiths head back to their home forges to recreate ancient China's Sword of Goujian, one of the most intact artifacts ever uncovered.

Baby Boomer vs Gen Z

Four smiths must forge a Japanese tanto dagger; summoning their inner warriors, the smiths fight to produce blades that are worthy of the samurai; two competitors return home to reproduce the deadly Sodegarami.

Samurai Showdown

Four smiths determine their fate when they have to select a forging technique ranging from easy to difficult; two smiths must recreate the Ikakalaka African Sword.

The Ikakalaka

In a throwback to the Iron Age, four smiths must forge daggers relying solely on coal forges and brute force; two competitors return to present day and head back to their home forges to recreate Arya Stark's "Needle" from "Game of Thrones."
